Maoists give Taliban justice, behead cop
Maoist rebels have beheaded Jharkhand Police officer Francis Induwar, who they had abducted a week ago to force the release of their leaders.
“He (Induwar) has been beheaded. His body and head were recovered near Raisha Ghati under Namkom Police station on Tuesday, about 12 km from Ranchi,” said Superintendent of Police (Rural) Hemmant Toppo.
A poster was seen pasted on a tree saying the body was that of the police officer. Induwar, who was with the state police’s Special Branchwas kidnapped on September 30 by the Maoists from Hembrom Bazaar in Khunti district, about 70 km from Ranchi.
Samarj, the Maoists’ South Chhotanagpur Committee secretary, had on Saturday called a local newspaper and said the Inspector would be released only after the police set free Ghandy
