Search on for missing Bangladesh army officers
Army tanks rolled into the Bangladesh Rifles (BDR) headquarters, where mutinous troopers who had battled the army for 33-hours had been holed up, in the capital city on Friday morning as search operations for missing officers began.
Army troops, backed by six tanks and 20 armoured vehicles, entered the sprawling BDR compound on Friday morning through the main entrance, bdnews24.com reported.
The troops used loudhailers to ask people to move away as they drove up the Satmasjid Road from their overnight base in the residential neighbourhood Dhanmondi.
“Keep quiet. No slogans, please,” a soldier said.
